Click the dropdown menu at the upper left corner of the app, and select Settings

XSplit Presenter's settings are subdivided into tabs. Click below to know more:


General

  • Enable Snapping
    Allows snapping of overlay elements within the slide

  • Hide XSplit presenter from Screen Capture
    Hides XSplit presenter from screen capture, and other apps which use screen capture methods

  • Enable countdown before recording or streaming
    Displays a countdown timer on the app's preview screen before the recording/streaming starts


Audio

Microphone

The device selected as the Microphone is where the XSplit presenter will capture the audio from.

  • Volume
    You can set the desired level for your microphone

  • Preview
    Shows the level of the incoming audio from the selected microphone device. The Test button allows you to listen to your own voice to know how it would sound like to others.

  • Enable Noise Suppression
    This allows you to enable the option that will suppress unwanted background noise

Audio Device

Set which speakers XSplit Presenter will capture the system audio from

  • Volume
    You can set the desired level for your Audio Device.

  • Preview
    Shows the level of the incoming audio from the selected system audio device.


Recording

Automatic

Sets your recording settings based on your own system defaults.

Custom

Set your own recording preferences

  • Resolution
    Select the size of your video. Choose between 720p (Standard HD) and 1080p (Full HD).

  • Codec
    Select your output encoder (x264 is currently not supported).

  • Frame Rate
    Select your desired Frames-per-second. A higher framerate will appear smoother, but uses more resources.

  • Quality
    Choose your recording quality, higher quality uses more resources.

  • Split Recording (Available in both Automatic and Custom modes)
    Split your recordings automatically by file size and duration.

Other Settings

Recording Location

Allows you to choose the destination of your recordings.

  • Cloud
    Your recording will be uploaded to the XSplit cloud (accessible through your XSplit Account's Dashboard - My Media.

  • Local
    Your recording will be saved as a video file in your computer's local drive

  • Both
    The recording will be saved in both the cloud and your local storage simultaneously

Local Directory

Specifies where your recordings will be saved in your computer's local drive. Click the Change button if you want your videos to be saved in a different folder.


Streaming

Automatic

Automatic settings allows the XSplit Presenter to choose the best settings for you based on your computer’s system.

Advanced

Automatic settings allows the XSplit Presenter to choose the best settings for you based on your computer’s system.

  • Resolution

    Select the size of your video. Choose between 720p (Standard HD) and 1080p (Full HD)

  • Bitrate

    Set the Bitrate to adjust how much data is sent every second. A higher bitrate will result in better quality but requires higher upload speed.

  • Video Codec

    Select your output encoder (x264 is currently not supported)

Other Settings

  • Save a copy of the stream on your local drive

    Automatically records a copy of your stream to your local drive simultaneously.

Destinations

Under Destinations, you can select a platform to stream to by clicking Add Destination.

Supported platforms:

  • Facebook Live

  • YouTube Live

Other/custom RTMP support coming soon

XSplit Presenter will link to the account currently logged in to your default browser.

Hotkeys

Hotkeys allows you to create keyboard shortcuts to various XSplit Presenter actions and annotations. It is also a way to customize the application to fit you.

To assign a hotkey, press your desired keyboard key combination in the box provided.

You can remove a hotkey binding by clicking the x symbol next to the hotkey.


Language

You can change the language of your XSplit Presenter by going to Settings > Language and select your preferred language.


About

The About tab shows your XSplit Presenter version information.
